Game | Bastille Solitaire Game 'Solitaire Di Venezia'

The game of Solitaire is reputed to have been invented by a nobleman confined in the Bastille prison during the early years of the French Revolution. The game is played with 36 marbles. The object is to eliminate all but one marble, which should ideally end up in the center of the game board.

This set includes individually hand blown glass marbles from Venice, full of colour, against a solid ebony board. Art in itself, functional and fun as solitaire. Easy to learn, years to master.

A must have for your coffee table. Once placed on a table it's sure to get plenty of attention - it's hard to resist wanting to play it!

Size: 35cm diameter board.

38 marbles are included 30mm diameter, 1 extra than required to play the game.

Comes with instructions and in an elegant gift box.
