Created by Sydney ceramicist Shelley Simpson and handmade in her Sydney studio, Mud Australia’s products are distinguished by their unique finish. Simpson only glazes the interior of her pieces, so the bottoms of the bowls and plates maintain a raw texture that actually becomes softer over time as they’re handled day-to-day.
Despite their unique textural qualities, each piece is made from porcelain and is surprisingly robust - everything is microwave, dishwasher, and oven-safe.

We create timeless garments and home collections which are a form of art and expression of a unique style. The way we dress ourselves and our "home" expresses who we are and the way we see the world, our main source of inspiration.
We believe designing is about pure and intense emotions. It's about feeling.
Handmade by master craftspeople in very limited quantities, each piece is full of character so very special. Being handcrafted in New Zealand with great love and care they make wonderful presents.
Oak, Elm and Blackwood timbers are responsibly sourced; often from storm fallen trees.
Each piece is worked for hours to get a natural aged look and then beautifully sealed with a ‘secret’ non-toxic wax finish.
