Kitchen Artefacts | Large Chopper

Handmade in New Zealand by the very talented Tom Muir. This lovely chopper is very handy - it can be used on a cheese board for cutting soft cheeses or in the kitchen chopping herbs or pastry. It is lovingly handmade from very the dense Maire or Volcanic Totara, Tom only uses reclaimed native timbers.

The edge is surprisingly sharp. To sharpen the edge, run a piece of sandpaper along it, then work in coconut oil to prevent drying.

Perfect for gifting, it comes with an information tag letting you know more about the timber and craftsmanship.

Approximately 13 cm long, 19 cm wide

Being made of natural timber each chopper is unique and very special. Wash in warm soapy water and re-oil with coconut oil to extend life. Do not put in dishwasher.
