Emma Cunningham is a full time practising artist. From her studio, The Flying Dog, situated in a rural valley 25 minutes from Whanganui, New Zealand, she creates her contemporary mixed media artwork and jewellery.
Emma draws inspiration from nature and is concerned with the preservation of it. Birds and animals appear in her work as signposts or messengers. Her artwork attempts to transcend bounderies created by our fragmented perspective, and reveal the interrelatedness that exists throughout the universe.
